Plumas County Arts Commission presents Words and Music, a series that has been captivating audiences since 1989. Initially funded by the California Arts Council, the series began with monthly poetry readings and a literary publication. Over the years, the program expanded to include showcasing the works of regional artists in publications and an annual Art & Literary Calendar. Recognizing the need for a platform for local musicians, Plumas Arts established a separate music series which eventually merged with the spoken word component. Join this cherished series that celebrates the harmonious blend of words and music, showcasing the creative talents of the region.
